This barrel-aged quad with orange peel and cherry works pretty well. The barrel comes through and the alcohol warming is noticeable, but both are tamped down by the orange and cherry, some sweetness, and notes of cocoa, barrel oak and vanilla, figs, raisins. Aptly named as there is an old fashioned characteristic.
