This beer is exactly as advertised: a Polynesian tiki drink inspired barrel aged Belgian tripel with pineapple, orange, and toasted coconut. The look is a moderately attractive golden orange, but with poor head retention and no lacing. Smells just like fruit punch. Tastes like a Belgian tripel up front that crosses over and turns into spiked coconut pineapple punch. Strange, but at the same time enjoyable while sitting in the sun of the large outdoor balcony at the tap room. I’m not sure if it really works or not, but it is exactly what it claims to be and what I wanted—reminiscent of a tropical vacation. And very drinkable at 11.7 percent abv.
