Poured from growler.
A- Poured a orange-ish yellow color. One and a half finger white head that dies down into just a whisp on the top of the beer. Nice ringing lacing on the glass as I drink it down.
S- Bigger underlying citrus/tropical hops in the front of this. Light caramel bready malts make up the backing of the aroma. Piney hops also make an apperance which almost makes the beer have a light dank weed aroma.
T- Nice citrus and light pine hops in the front of this beer right out the gate. Citrus notes dominate the whole beer with some light caramel malts coming into play in the middle. The malts are always there but hops dominate and put the malty flavors into submission. Light bitter hops in the tail end of this with some sweet malts poking through.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Hops cover and coat everything with a oily slickness in my mouth. No real off flavors really noticed and blending of everything was rather smooth.
D- This beer is so amazingly drinkable. The ABV on this is so well hidden that I could drink the whole growler easy in one sitting. Sun King makes yet another beer that I could drink all day long. Just wish I didn't have to drive to Indy if I wanted some more of this.

64oz growler filled at the brewery. Served in a Sun King Pint Glass.
A: Pours a glassy, radiant yellow/orange. A finger of dense white head sticks around until it's reduced to a thin, wispy layer. Lacing is solid, leaving a nice slow cascade along the glass.
S: The hops deliver a tropical blast of pineapple, guava, papaya, peach and mangos. Peaking it's head through is also a some pine, and a faint note of bready malts.
T: Much like the nose, intense lush hops dominate. A more balanced hop attack of citrus and pine comes across as the Simcoe hops come into play. Despite the 90+ IBU's, the bitterness is definitely present, but very manageable. Towards the finish some sweetness sneaks in to round things out.
M: Meidum bodied. Carbonation is ample and just where you want it on a West Coast style IIPA. Comes across very smooth and not very sticky at all.
D: 10% ABV? Could have fooled me. The alcohol is hidden very, very well, and only lingers slightly on the finish. The big IBU's and bitterness do come into play. A few pints in and my palate is a little banged up.
I must say I'm a big fan of Citra hops and love the flavors they bring to a good IPA. A very good WC style IIPA by the Sun King Crew. Not quite as good as the First Waltz, but a damn fine IIPA despite the fact.
