From notes:
Pours a medium dark brownish red, with two fingers of extremely fluffy off white head, leaves beautiful lacing. Smells like fresh roasted coffee beans at the front, then some roasted malts. Tastes like it smells, fresh cold pressed coffee at the front, then some sweet malt and a slight bitter finish. Mouthfeel is great, good carb and somewhat sticky. Drinkability is high. Another great beer from Sun King.

Pours from the aluminum growlers a nice reddish color, with a bit of beige foam. Huge coffee nose jumps right out of the glass, a bit unexpected, but not unpleasant, for the style. More coffee on the palate, along with caramel malt and smoke. A nice lingering coffee/sweet malt finish. A good beer, from a brewery I'd never heard of.

room mate brought back a growler from the brewery.
pours a clear shining amber with highlights of orange copper with a very quickly dissipating off white one finger head and decent lace. attractive roasted malt character of the bat with coffee dominating throughout and dark, sweet fruits. tiny traces of flowery hops and small alcohol burn in the nose. the taste begins with a tart sweetness that is very appealing, and a robust espresso flavor, and ends with an attractive sweetness as it warms. bold coffee and roasted nutmeg are also present with a caramel malt intensity. rich and slick mouthfeel and great drinkablilty. this beer makes me want to drink a coffee. an absolutely excellent dopplebock.
