This tastes exactly as imagined, like someone put mint extract and chocolate into a bourbon barrel stout. Mint chocolate is a classic flavor profile, and this variant actually tastes ok, but the problem is it’s not something I want to drink a lot of. One peppermint patty is refreshing, 12 ounces of liquid peppermint patty is a bit much. Also, the base beer includes some malt variety with an off taste, and the bourbon barrel chosen is obnoxiously strong and of medium quality. So squirting mint into it creates a strange competition with the bourbon barrel.
