Appearance: Pours coffee colored with a two finger ecru head that quickly fades to a ringlet; spots of lacing linger
Smell: Old Fashioned cocktail aromatics with the Bourbon, cherry and orange peel elements prominent
Taste: Belgian dark flavors forward with the caramel and dark fruit elements setting the stage; In the middle, the Old Fashioned arrives, bringing the cherry, orange peel and Bourbon elements; the espresso arrives late, adding a third dimension
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: There is just something about craft beers mimicking cocktails that really works for me and this is one of the better ones I have encountered
