Old school DIPA pours a clear golden color with sudsy white bubbles and lacing. Citrusy aroma of lemon and grapefruit and pine. Strong resinous pine and grapefruit taste. Floral with hints of lemon zest. Bitter and dry. Overall it is kind of an uninspired but adequate take on a Michigan DIPA from 1995. It tastes pretty good, but the pine and grapefruit is a bit out of control and lacks a certain je ne sais quoi.
