Served at MacNivens in downtown Indie. They gave it to me in a tulip glass it packed such a head-high hoppy wallop that I would have sworn its above was around 10%.
I'm pretty sure this is the only beer I've ever had that uses Indiana hops. It is a hop bomb. A well-brewed and interesting hop bomb, but a hop bomb nonetheless.
What separates a hop bomb from a regular, strong IPA? Well for one thing there's the hops. Those are real strong. Then there ain't much of nothing else.
It would take an exceptionally prejudiced or jaded person to think this is necessarily a bad thing. It sometimes is, but that's mostly when either the hops suck or the malt is awful and syrupy. Here the malt is blotted out. Like, it's not there, instead of being there in a bad or unbalanced way.
The hops are varied enough to carry the beer, and intense enough to make you feel real good.

grabbed at the brewery yesterday.
poured very cold from the growler a hazy honey'd light orange to a sun king shaped pint glass with a full finger foamy, big bubbled off white head leaving nice lace.
subtle citrus aroma and a hint of herbs and spices.
very refreshing, sweet citrus followed by slightly bitter spices.
very smooth and creamy, highly carbonated. bitter to the tongue, but only moderately so.
very drinkable at 6.8abv.
