Review from notes
Pours a medium reddish brown, light enough you can see light through it but still a good color, with a finger of off white head that doesn't stay around long. Smells like fresh brewed coffee. This is one of the best smelling coffee beers I've had. When cold this tastes like coffee but when it warms up a bit I can taste some coconut, almost like a little coconut milk, along with some coffee and slightly sweet malts. Mouthfeel is medium, drinkability is high. When I think of coffee beers I think of a big coffee stout, which this isn't. It's a great coffee beer, very interesting and not a stout.

grabbed at the brewery this afternoon.
poured cold from the growler to a sun king shaped pint a crisp and translucent mahongany brown with a big bubbled, short lasting, foamy, tan head with a bit of retention.
big black coffee aroma, followed with a hint of toffee following up.
the big and up front coffee aroma belies the sweet coconut that seems to be way up front upon the first sip. very interesting blend of flavors, sweet toothy coconut, fading slowly to coffee, fading again to the familiar sweet malty wee mac.
bigger bodied that its regular olde wee mac cousin, creamy, sweet, medium carbonation.
drinkable - very.
** i'm a big fan of sun king wee mac, and here's hoping that coconut joe comes back for a return engagement. real nice beer.
