Pours a deep brown with burgundy around the edges with very little in way of head. Very lifeless in the glass.
Aromas of smoked, roasted malts, brown sugar, milk chocolate, raisin and date.
Body is a little thin but flavors are there. Is a little bacony, smokey, with hints of chocolate, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, fig, and prune. Carbonation is very light which may be the cause of the watery mouthfeel? Slight alcohol burn in the back of the throat but with the finish both drop off quickly.
