Got a couple of tasting glasses of this during the Indiana Micro Brewers festival. One of the highlights to the day for sure!
Poured dark black with a nice dark khaki head on it. Left a thin cap all way through the glass with sticky lace clinging to the cup. Smelled very inviting. Sweetness mixed with nice oaked aroma. Got some chocolate and subtle vanilla, maybe a tad bourbon smell. Chocolate flavors popped out with the first taste. Flavors a bit all over the place, but with some more time could be blended very nicely. Good oak, bourbon flavor in the middle gave great flavor. Some sweetness here and there but nothing that overpowers the other flavors. Drank very smooth. Full body with little carbonation. I can't wait for Sun King to release this. Hopefully it will be canned. Very excited for this beer to come out, hope to get as much as I can!
