This beer came out when I worked there many years ago. I help provide the recipe (The base of it, and still have). The head brewer at the time thought of making this to try something different. Both of them are gone, but the recipe remains. Thanks Dennis!
The overall taste of the beer can be somewhat strong in flavor if your not used to a stout of this character. While the coffee can be strong based upon the bean...etc...etc.
I tend to feel a biscuit flavor, but not to the point of being overpowering. A good flavor combo in my opinion, but not a consistent brew just yet.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler...
Appears a dark brown, nearing black with a thick, off white head that slowly fades out. Spotty streaks of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of coffee, cocoa, earthy, pine hops, and yeasty cake.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with cake and cocoa standing out.
Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, yeasty, semi sweet up front, with a little dryness in the finish.

Nice dark beer, just this side of black. Light brown foam on top, not the best but I like the coloring.
Get that great coffee shop smell, coffee and roast grain are dominate to me.
The taste follows the aroma, coffee! Just a hint of chocolate, kind of like one of those mocha coffee drinks my wife likes. The roast flaver is well done, strong but not bitter or burnt.
A very enjoyable beer. Was a nice dessert in it self. While malty, wasn't to sweet either. Great treat.

This beer sits in my pint glass with a frothy light brown colored head, it is not really creamy in consistency as bubbles are a bit too large. The beer is a rich brown color, a shade darker than dark chocolate. The aroma has concentrated roast notes to it that are certainly reminiscent of a dark French roast coffee. There is also an underlying note that is similar to a chocolate liquor; lightly sweet, forward chocolate aromatics and a hint of alcohol at the end.
The beer is served far too cold, damn frozen pint glasses; this deadens the taste up front, but the flavor comes on quite evidently before the beer has passed down my throat. The cold actually makes this beer quite thin as well. If it is allowed to warm up a bit in the mouth it takes on a bit more fullness, which is complimentary to the flavor notes. The beer has a full roast flavor, but still manages to be smooth (i.e. there are not any harsh, burnt, or astringent notes here, or at least these are kept to a minimum.
The chocolate notes play a secondary role, but they are here in the finish where the flavor takes on a smooth, creamy textured, dark chocolate note. This helps to balance both the acidity and the hint of alcohol that are also found in the finish. This beer is quite nice, I wish it had not been served so cold initially, and I could wish for a bit more body, which would have complimented the roast and chocolate notes much better, but in the end this is really quite an enjoyable pint.

Black in color with a finger thick, dark tan, somewhat foamy head. Nice coffee aroma with hints of roasted grains and a light nose of hops. Flavor too is big on the coffee, with a big sweet malt body which is held in check by bitterness from grains and ample hops. Ample carbonation also helps to keep the beer from being to heavy/cloying. Slightly dry finish, and a very pleasant aftertaste.
