Pour: On draft at Smoke and Barrel in D.C. Poured into a snifter. Appearance: Light golden straw in color. somewhat clear. White head which reduces after the brew settles in. Slight lacing on the glass. Aroma: Lightly sour on the nose. Lilting citrus/ lemon notes. Peppery and clean. Taste: Big hit of sour. Pucker inducing! Tart and funk. As soon as the tart recedes it reveals an excellent malty, bready, roasty and nutty backbone. Wonderful surprise and extreme contrast. Very consistent contrast on each sip. Very interesting given that the sour and citrus mask all the malty and nutty goodness. Aftertaste: Follows the back end of the taste profile (malty, roasty, bready, and nutty) throughout the finish. Notes: Consistent complex contrast. Very interesting and unique. Result/ Rating: Excellent/ 4.96

Draft at the Taphouse in Boise... Lactic and sorta husky wheat.. Pretty authentic Berliner... lemony and very refreshing... I'd buy this again and again if it was in cans.

Had the cucumber and lime version from draft. Really easy to drink K and enjoy. Not too sour/bitter either, comes through very fresh and juicy from the cucumber. Good intro to sour styles.

This review is of the "Cucumber Sour Weisse" served at the brewery in March 2015. This beer tastes pretty thin and there's hardly any smell at all on it.

Reviewed 04-26-2014 21:37:50 , possibly under a different name. Definitely this beer from this bottle though.
22oz into a tulip. Pours a hazy pale straw color w/ a 1-finger head.
Aroma is lemony, peppery, clean, bready, yeasty. Smells a bit like a bakery.
Taste is a blend of lemon zest, spice, and pale bready wheat malt. The acidity works nicely to clean the palate while simultaneously urging you toward the next sip. Very drinkable.
Mouthfeel is crisp and light, with a pleasant citrusy twang and a nice dry finish. Mouth-watering.
Overall a very drinkable and refreshing beer, perfect to enjoy after mowing the lawn on a sunny spring afternoon.
