On Tap at Freemont in Seattle WA.
Appearance : Dark chocolate black body, 100% opaque. Head leaves light lace on the glass as it recedes.
Smell : Lots of (and mainly) roasted coffee. A slight oatmeal and milk presence, and a little cacao. Some faint walnut.
Taste : Dark, roast malts...burned or charred lightly, a very prominent presence of coffee grounds, bitter cocoa nibs, and a hoppy yet warm finish. It is a bit too one noted and linear, I could have done with more chocolate. Belches are hop plant oddly enough. Overall the flavor profile is very roasted and very coffee-like.
Feel : medium to heavy body, a moderate creaminess, a decent carbonation accompanies the feel to give it a nice pop.
Overall : a nice offering, wish they had it in cans.
