Super opaque pale yellow with a thin white ring, looking more like a Trillium IPA than a Gose.
The nose has a nice balance of salt, lemon-lime, seaweed, a touch of lactic funk and cracker.
Taste is herbal and fruity lemon and dragon fruit with a touch of Sprite, watermelon Kool-Aid and cracker.
Complex and delicious with a soft froth, light body and semi-wet finish.
To get these kinds of flavors, breweries like J. Wakefield are throwing in thousands of dollars worth of fruit, and honestly I don't think Fremont did a damn thing besides make a good Gose using traditional ingredients!

I had this beer on-tap in a goblet at the brewery.
Appearance: super hazy medium golden hue with a thin layer of ivory foam. Good color, better head would be nice.
Smell: nice moderate bitterness, wheaty sweetness and mild fruitiness. Just right for the style.
Taste: wheaty, funky, salty and a bit sour. This is brewed with coriander, which adds a little to the fruitiness. It's a darn fine Gose, unadorned for the most part, and really works for me.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and a rocky texture. Not too bad.
Overall: it's a very standard Gose, which is quite drinkable on a sunny Seattle day like today.

light, bright, tangy, briny, mineraly, spirited, active, rustic, limey, tannic, wheaty, herbaceous, refreshing. everything i look for in the style and very little that i dont. i think it could stand a touch more of carbonation, and its just a little thick on the body, maybe a quick clean up of residual wheat bits and yeast, but other than that, its dialed in. the flavors are great, its got a cool citrus note, lime zest for me, and a great briny freshness, salty like fresh oysters or something, very summery and coastal, and quite a bit more flavorful than a lot of these are. the saltiness is great, and it ends up being very dry in the finish. im not sure its my favorite take on the style out there, but its one that isnt content to be like all the others. the sourness is cleaner, brighter, and there isnt any of that sweaty rushed sort of lactic weirdness. at ice cold temperatures, this is one of the better takes on the style i have had in awhile. its also the first sour beer or sour family ale i have had from fremont, and it looks like they do this just as well as they do everything else...
