L: pours dark murky brown with a half finger of head that fades fast
S: a little smoke, some booze and chocolate, slight tabacoo
T: the peat is still the main player....there is sweet booze fruit juice notes like bourbon soaked purple grapes. But the smoky peat finishes long and hard. Just not for me.
F: medium thick, not much carbonation which is good. Easy drinking except he peat flavor.

I love Fremont, but this beer was very good, not great. I expected more body and complexity. Super rare beer, but Fremont makes many better beers. Glad I got to try it.

Muddy almost black of cold strong coffee. Almost non existent head is more manifest as a light ethereal dusting like a three dimensional rendering on a computer screen.
Nose is decadent and delicious. Chocolate and sweet bourbon, just maybe not as pronounced as it could be
This is pure bliss in a glass. A touch of peaty smoke darts at the edges of a rich decadently sweet ribbons of fudge chocolate and mildly bitter coffee and some vanilla from the presumed barreling... I can't even do this anything close to justice. This is incredible.
A Smoke Jacket seems an appropriate celebration for a thirtieth birthday. Best part of the day anyway, I could sip this all day.

In the top three beers ive ever had, period, and I probably couldnt pin down the other two.
Looks jet black, not too thick, almost no carbonation. Smelled nice and bourbony and had a pretty light mouth feel for how much flavor this had.
Taste was fantastic, bourbon for days but only the sweet parts. No alcohol burn at all, I wanted to sip on this forever. Cant wait to see what this thing does in a few years.
