Taster at Bittecreek. Nice light and toasty. Nice feel, spot on for the style. Near black with small head. Light roast aroma. Minor bitterness, but full roast malt flavors.

I had this beer on-tap in a can-glass at the brewery.
Appearance: rich, dark brown with a definite haze and a thin layer of tan foam. Nice looking, but more head would be better.
Smell: malty, sweet, caramelly and just a little roasty. Just what a schwarzbier should be.
Taste: a little drier than the aroma, with roast, caramel, graininess and just a bit of biscuit. Not bad, if a little biscuity for me.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a huge carbonation and pretty good creaminess, considering the lightish body.
Overall: a good example of a schwarzbier. It's not perfect, but it really hits the spot on a nice day.
