16ounce can, packaged 1/15/19. Poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a rusty orange, white soapy bead that just stays and stays. Rings of lacing. Crystal clear body.
Aromas of lemon, cereal grains, muted citrus, rustic floral. I don’t know what that means but just sounds right.
Toasted wheat bread, caraway seed, caramel, citrus and pine.
Medium body with easy drinking qualities.
I love when brewers pay attention to what makes their beer great. Extra points for the locality of this wonderful beer.

Appearance is transparent pale golden amber with a generous white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is bready malt and floral hops. Taste follows the nose. You can definitely taste the grains and the hops add a nice floral balance. Medium bodied and smooth. Finishes clean.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, half finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit and sweet whole grain bready malt, grassy hops with a little citrus, oats. Flavor is grainy and biscuit malt, light grassy hops, light lemon. Husky grain finish with light residual grassy hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess. This was intended to highlight the malt grain and does a fine job of that, with a somewhat complex multi-grain taste to the base. The hops are fairly laid back and are reminiscent of an English bitter, which makes sense due to the Kent Goldings used. Overall more like a lightly hopped bitter than an American pale ale, but definitely succeeds at and presenting the grain in the malt. Interesting.
