Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to moderately hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, light citrus and tropical fruit hops, pineapple, orange, mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, cantaloupe, pineapple, mixed tropical fruit, lemon rind. Citrus rind and vague tropical fruit finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I guess I got distracted by the "Northwest IPA" on the label and missed the "Pacific"; this poured moderately hazy and has the tropical fruit character of the hazy style of IPA. It also is very light on the bitterness. Like many of this style, it was interesting at first, but tastes more and more like fruit juice as the glass empties. As expected, a well made version of this IPA style, with an excellent mouth feel, smell and look and the nice soft finish that seems to be the appeal. Nice, just not my style. Fremont's usual awesome graphics on the can.
