16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy amber pour with a one finger fluffy head. Fruity aroma, citrus, notes of tropical and stone fruit also. Taste is melon, papaya, oranges, apricots. Dries out towards the finish, along with some lingering bitterness.

i still think there is room for this series to be innovative and amazing, blow our minds and introduce us to new flavors like it did in the early days, but its been fading recently, and yeah i have missed the last couple i think, but this one is unremarkable, and as much as talus still rules and all, this beer just seems a little sloppy, its heavy in feel but for no reason, like the grain has little flavor but too much body, and the hops are juicy but without defined edges or any real finish, despite this having a bit more bitterness than a lot of the others have had, i dont know, i like it but i dont love it, and that is not what i have come to expect from this series. that said, i often find these more compelling from the can than the tap, and this was a draft pour, so i will have to check out a can, but the hops seem even somewhat generic here, a lemon lime soda front end, a bit more vegetal later, with cantaloupe and dried flower notes, which all sounds quite good, but its both muted for some reason and covered over a bit by the malt. its also not as lively in carbonation as would flatter it, and to me it seems almost saggy. i am being critical here because i expect more from fremont with their hoppy stuff, especially in this series. the talus hops save it for me.

Beautiful, bright and hazy IPA here where the Amarillo really shines - tropical fruit, grapefruit, and citrus really pop here. One of the best HfoD iterations I've tried.
