It has a nice head, about 2 fingers that stays around for a while. It pours more translucent than hazy with an amber/orange color. The taste is both sweet and bitter with a nice balance like grapefruit pulp. Aroma is mild tropical. I haven't tried all of the HFOD but this is one of the better ones. Rated 7-17-2022

interesting mix of hops here, but not quite as unique of a beer as i expected, and while the quality is excellent as is almost always the case with fremont and with this series, this one doesnt jump out of the lineup as one of the most memorable, although its cool because all four hops do what they are known for in this, lime leaf and herbaceous springy vibes from the galaxy, bitter grapefruit and woodsy essences from the columbus along with being the source of the moderate bitterness here i suspect, the idaho 7 has stone fruit and light green onion to it, while the mosaic is familiar with canned pineapple juice and some textural oiliness. this is well hopped, not green or vegetal or with any bite, and the grain is super dry, which i prefer in a hazy, even more appreciable here than in many of the others, but still not much actual flavor to the ferment, its just hops in a pale grain stew and then its all gone on the swallow. fresher pineapple notes as it warms, some orange hard candy, and fresh maybe mango and papaya, tropical and modern and delicious, even really drinkable for the style, usually these are one or two tops at a time for me. a fun beer, not wildly original despite the cool hop blend, and one of the first in awhile that hasnt shown me anything new or taught me anything about hops and hop combinations, still, a fantastic can of beer.

Pint can served in pint glass. Thick and opaque, with a massive white head. Looks like grapefruit juice, smells like tropical punch, tastes juicy, dank and resinous. Perhaps the tastiest dank IPA I've ever had. Dry in the finish but not bitter. Mouthfeel has the expected NE IPA profile with just enough fizz.

16 oz. Can

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow/orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger off-white head, which also leaves some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, papaya, nectarine, apricot, melon, guava), very nice diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, papaya, nectarine, apricot, melon, guava), very nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

Poured from a 16 ounce can into an IPA glass.

Look- Pale gold, frothy white head, very hazy, no visible particulate, above average lacing and head retention.

Smell- Mango, melon, clementine, pleasant understated bouquet.

Taste- Mango, woody pineapple skin, clementine, super pithy, uncomfortably herbaceous/astringent finish.

Feel- Between medium and full body, moderate bitterness, extraordinarily astringent finish, average carbonation.

Overall- Great look and pleasant, but subtle bouquet. Flavor and feel where an incredible miss for me. I’ve never tried to eat a pineapple like an apple, as I am a civilized human being, but I imagine this is what it would be like.

Thick, opaque hazy pour from the can, more dark gold than I remember from other versions...tropical and hoppy and earthy on the nose, leaning more bitter and dry on the palate with a good dose of those familiar grains, but with an added hop oil/grapefruit peel dryness that isn't so normal for these Fremont beers. Started out better than it finished for me, still not bad but not my favorite.
