Imperial stout with coffee, chilis and cinnamon aged in bourbon barrels.
Party Like was brewed to celebrate the anniversary of John’s Marketplace - Portland’s beer and wine mecca. This imperial Mexican-style coffee stout was inspired by the union of two things we love: Mexican chocolate stirred into a fresh cup of coffee and barrel-aging. Party Like was brewed with whole ancho chilis, cinnamon and Roaster’s Choice whole bean coffee from Seattle’s legendary, and Fremont local, Lighthouse Roasters. Aged in bourbon barrels for over 12 months, the combination of coffee, chilis, cinnamon and barrel-aging creates a complex and layered imperial stout with hints of coffee, chocolate and spice, with just a touch of heat and bitterness.
Down & Dirty: Maris Otter Pale, 2-Row Pale, Munich, Victory, Chocolate Malt, Crystal Dark, Midnight Wheat and Dextrose with US Goldings and Chinook hops with whole Ancho chilis, cinnamon and Roaster’s Choice Whole Bean coffee from Lighthouse Roasters. IBU: 50.
