Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium to dark mahogany brown; dark in the glass with a fine, two finger khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of biscuit and toasted malt, cocoa, light coffee, a little mineral and light grassy hops. Flavor follows, with biscuit and dark toasted malt with little char, cocoa, and mild grassy hops. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An good example of this style, hitting the characteristics of the a Czech dark lager. A little more toasted malt in the finish. Flavor could use a little more depth, but a good example of the style.
