Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 1/30/26.

Appearance: medium golden-yellow hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Not super-duper hazy, but hazy enough.

Smell: sweet, juicy, and tropical, with passionfruit and mango aromas. It's good, but it's edging towards being a bit too heavy or cloying.

Taste: sweet and a bit earthier than the aroma; tropical, with passionfruit and guava and papaya notes. There's some bitterness to this one that builds over time; definitely more bitter than a stereotypical hazy. It's not bad, though.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: a pretty decent tropical IPA, but not quite what I'm looking for in the style.

Fremont Head Full of Dynomite pkgd 06/16/25. I guess this is the "forever" Head Full of Dynomite. Deeply hazy and topped with loads of white head. Pretty good on bitterness and I'm struggling to describe the flavors, which are a little bit funky and unusual. Not fruity, and not exactly piny either. Maybe more leather and herbal.

it had to end sometime, and this is a cool way to bring some finality to the series, a permanent beer. not going to assume this is taking everything they learned along the way and rolled into one larger than life ipa, but i think its cool there are multiple wheat and oat elements in the grain bill, and i like that its got hop products in it, for the most part those were the most captivating of the numbered releases, so neat to see incognito and lupomax and cryo in this too, this is the new style hazy, and its very good, although to me still somewhat less exotic than the best beers in this series over the years, i will miss what it was of course, but i also like what it is, so credit to fremont for that, this has been a ton of fun. lightly orange tinted, uniformly hazy and not too think, dense, or strong, a nice frothed up white head with good retention, well over an inch high in my globe, looks right on overall. the aroma here is fairly complex, juicy without being sweet, citrusy without being specific, intense and early starting on the hops to me, kind of candied in terms of pungency, but not green or forced, dry hoppy and not very bitter, with layers of lemongrass, white coconut, cantaloupe, and crushed pineapple, a fine mix of hops here, balanced by an out of the way but supportive grain base, high protein to me, dry enough for this to still be quick on the palate when i drink it. the flavor is great, as good as the nose, lemongrass and the cashmere specifically stand out to me, but its well layered and very smooth, almost creamy, i think texturally as good as any of them have been, or close to it. light bitterness through it, no climax at the end there, its consistent. honeysuckle, lemon verbena, white grapefruit, green tea, jasmine, and mandarin orange all flash in and out, there is some light oily character on the palate but not really dank to me in the traditional sense, rushing carbonation is lovely too, keeps it moving and flowing. on the whole this is fantastic, maybe not quite as striking as the most memorable beers in this series have been, but to have this as a new full time offering is a great thing, ill be a regular on it im sure. thanks to fremont for one of the more engaging beer series in recent memory, awesome stuff.

Poured from a 12 ounce can dated 3-24-25 into a tulip glass at 50 degrees.

Look- Straw, very hazy, white creamy head, small amount of visible large particulate, slightly above average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Melon, clementine, lemongrass, pepper, medium strength of scent.

Taste- Melon, clementine, pepper, lemongrass, medium strength of flavor.

Feel- Between thin and medium body, slightly below average carbonation, low bitterness, mildly dry finish.

Overall- Straw and very hazy with slightly above average head retention and lacing. Bouquet was a mix of melon, clementine, lemongrass and black pepper. Flavor followed close, but the black pepper was slightly more pronounced. Body was thinner than expected with a mildly dry finish. Overall this beer was a solid example of a NEIPA with no glaring weakness, but outside of appearance didn’t have any amazing attributes. This beer delivered a slightly above average drink experience.

12 oz. Can
PKGD: 03/25/25

First time in a 12 oz'er.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, papaya, guava, nectarine, apricot, melon, passion fruit), very nice diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, papaya, guava, nectarine, apricot, melon, passion fruit), very nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake

Well here I am, in the rare position to post a beer’s inaugural review. Will try to do the honor justice.

12oz can (packaged 3/31/2025) into a tulip. Pours a hazy, slightly dirty lemon yellow with a big frothy head that leaves behind some sudsy lace.

Aroma is bright and citrusy, pungent. More grapefruit than pine but overall just vaguely “juicy.” I think I detect Simcoe but the brewery’s description belies that notion.

Taste likewise leads off with grapefruit rind followed quickly by the pale biscuity malt foundation. A bit more lemon as it warms. Some nice biting acidity but it’s not bitter per se and certainly not dank. Crisp and drinkable.

Mouthfeel is a tad on the light side of medium bodied. Vanishes off the palate on the finish.

Overall a worthy version of HFOD for Fremont to go with as their year-round standard bearer. Plenty to like here. As a hazy non-fan I’m pleased with this one.
