FRESH HOP HAZY IPA
Head Full of Fresh Hops starts with select fresh hops harvested in Yakima and loaded into the brew kettle within 24 hours of harvest. Fresh hop beers signal the harvest season in the Pacific Northwest and are the height of our brewing year. “Friends bring happiness into your life, best friends bring fresh hop beer.” – VWP
Down & Dirty: 2-Row Pale, White Wheat, Wheat Flakes, Malted Oats, Rolled Oats, and Carapils malt with FRESH Krush hops, and Mosaic Cryo FRESH, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 Cryo dry hop.
ABV: 6.8%
IBU: ACT (a crap ton)
Color: Hazy dark yellow
The aroma brings out layers of mango, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit, and orange, rounded by grassy, herbaceous, and resinous pine notes with a faint dank edge. The flavor is gently sweet with moderate bitterness and a touch of lingering bite. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, it shows slight astringency and spice while finishing warming and mouthwatering.

Hazy amber brew with plenty of foam in the goblet. Aroma of grass and citrus. There is a nice fruity taste pulsing on the tongue, but the rest of the taste buds are bending under the weight of the sensation of grape stems, plum skins, and lime peel. Overall this is very sharply fizzy and borderline acidic. It's also interesting and generally drinkable, and possibly summer quaff. If you like your Saisons on the tart side you'll like this. From the 16 oz can purchased at the local community co-op market. Dated 10/01/25.

Pours hazy darkened straw, white head, thick and dense with good retention and lacing.
Very haze forward fragrant nose; boatloads of tropical fruit, little bubble gum, citrus; somewhere in the foreground there is hints of a grain bill, let’s just say a little sweet grain.
Taste is a pleasant surprise to me; all that big tropical nose yields to a huge amount hop resin that is very weed like; fruit skins, and again citrus; malt…oh yea, well maybe a faint hint of malt sweetness but this one is all about hops; hard to detect much else.
Medium body; it’s hazy sweet but not cloying or overbearing, quite clean drinking, nice bitterness with mouth coating sticky fresh hop goodness.

Pours a very hazed gold with a thumb+ of tight eggshell colored head. Average-ish head retention & great lacing
S: Citrus & melons, some guava too, fades a little once warm
T: Oranges, pomelo, some green melon & dryness up front. Passion fruit & pineapple mix in with dryness & pomelo as this beer warms up, more green melon as well. Finishes dry with pineapple, passion fruit, guava & oranges
MF: Medium body, creamy carbonation, good balance
Pretty drinkable, bringing the juice to be sure

16oz can purchased at Bottles, in Millwood, WA, for $5.49. Canned on October 1, 2025, per the stamp on the bottom of the can.
Poured into a sympathetic glass, thisnwas and opaque, yellow-orange color, with a big, creamy-looking, beige-colored head. Lots of sticky lace.
Hoppy nose reminiscent of tropical fruits and stone fruits, in that order.
Papaya and mango fruit-like flavors up front, with a little bit of pear taste in the mid. Very mild bitterness on the backend, along with a faint green grape flavor. As a proper hazy it goes down very easy.
Medium bodied, with a soft, creamy mouth feel that's just right for a hazy.
I am really digging this as I prefunc for Game 5. Go M's!

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 10-1-25 into a tulip glass at 49 degrees.
Look- Straw, very hazy, white frothy head, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Herbaceous, mango, orange, pineapple, pine resin, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Herbaceous, orange, pineapple, pine, slight mango, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, highly prickly, high bitterness, moderate astringency, mildly mouth warming, mildly creamy, moderately dry finish.
Overall- Appearance was a wonderful murky straw color with above average head retention and lacing. The bouquet was a nice herbaceous mix of mango, orange, pineapple, and pine resin. The strength of aromatics could have been higher, they were on the weak side of medium. The flavor was dominated by the herbaceous character. The other flavors were hard to pick out. The feel had a great amount of fresh hop character, but the finish was much too dry. Overall this was an enjoyable beer that delivered a bunch of raw fresh hop characteristics, it just needed a little more balance to take it to the next level.
