Poured at brewery.
Turbid toasted straw with white etched surface foam and no lace. Standard APWA look. Smell of lemons, grain, sweet bread and just the slightest hint of peppercorn - would have expected more peppecorn. Plenty wheaty, some sharp lemon character, dry and slightly metallic flavors in the back. The peppercorn starts to come through on the back end and is subtle. Full bodied with hi carb and a semi-dry finish - crisp. Quaffable, don't really see how the additions improved a fairly drinkable beer to another level, but nice for hot days in Seattle nonetheless.
