Session IPA
If Dave’s not in the office, he’s out on a cycling adventure. And he’s almost certainly drinking a beer afterwards. We don’t know why biking and beer go together so well, but they just do. Hops: Citra, Hallertau Blanc, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe.

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow/orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, guava), nice little piney. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, guava), nice little piney. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. Nice to see it around here.

Hazy, yellow color. Nice, white head. Citrus, pine, and malt in the aroma. Pleasant bitterness in taste. Light and refreshing beer. Nothing fancy, but well balanced.

10 oz in a tulip at the brewery
Appearance: A slightly hazy gold with a one-finger white head. Leaves white lacing behind on the way down.
Aroma: Kind of faint. Little bit of lemon and hops.
Taste: This has way more flavor than the ABV or the nose would indicate. Lots of grapefruit, orange, lemon, grass, hops. Tastes like a much bigger IPA. Not overpowering but def has more zing than I anticipated.
Mouthfeel: Kind of a sipper because of all the hop bitterness. If it’s a session it’s a slow session. Fairly light of body but not watery.
Overall: This was good and much more flavorful and hoppy than I anticipated. Nice to see MBC cram this much flavor into a session beer.

Maybe I expected too much since it is Maine BC. Did not have much of a nose and I thought it lacked a lot of hoppy flavor. It was a good beer but easily my least favorite from this brewery.

I gave this all 5's because this is easily the best session ipa I have ever had. The floral, citrus hop character is amazing. It's light but yet so full of flavor. It's a perfect hot summer afternoon refreshment.
