This red IPA pours a slightly opaque dark reddish brown color with a medium foamy white head. The smell is of citrus, a little pine, and some toasted bread and caramel malts. The taste has similar elements with an additional mild yeast quality. It is very well balanced between hops and malts. The body is medium, but actually a bit lighter than I expected based on the color. The finish is just slightly dry. Really nice, refreshing red IPA. This hasn’t always been my favorite style, but this one is definitely worth trying.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Pretty good lacing.

S: A decent aroma of hops, malt, and some citrus as well.

T: Tasted of some mild malt notes, a fair shot of citrus (grapefruit, in particular), a hint of pine, a decent amount of hops, some caramel, and pineapple. This is a pretty good flavor - especially up front - but it's a bit thin in the finish. Still, it's an interesting IPA / amber combo flavor.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a somewhat thin finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This beer has its good points, but it's not Maine's best beer. Still, worth a look.

A: Poured from the bottle into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is slightly hazy amber with a half-finger off-white head on top. Leaves behind a good amount of lacing.

S: Caramel malt, some pine and pineapple, grapefruity citrus.

T: Caramel malt foundation, then pine needles and citrus. Tasty. Finishes with slightly piney bitterness.

M: A little bit on the thin/watery side, feel-wise.

O: Very good; not great, but solid.

Medium amber color with something of an orange-red element, lightly hazy, full head of foam, lace sheets left behind... Earthy citrus, herbal and floral notes on the nose, accompanied by something woodsy, like oak, and maybe a little pine resin, too... Flavors follow in kind, with the pine coming across a little danker and the citrus like orange pith providing bright points... Medium-light feel, ample carbonation, moderate bitterness, mild sweetness... Drinks easy and smooth...
