Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear copper color with 2 fingers of light khaki head. The head has great retention, leaving a ring of cobweb lacing as it ultimately settles into a thick layer of foam.
The aroma brings notes of bready malts, caramel, fig and plum, with a nice kiss of piney hops on the back.
The flavor has a fairly assertive hop bitterness. There are also notes of caramel, sweet bread, toffee, and fig.
The feel is medium-light bodied with good carbonation. Very crisp and dry.
Overall, a pretty good beer that is well-balanced and full of flavor. It's easy to drink and is a nice take on the style.
