500 ml bottle
Pours a dark cola brown color with faint ruby hues and a creamy khaki head. Exceptional retention and lacing. Beautiful looking beer.
Aroma has notes of baker's chocolate, brown sugar, roasted coffee, brown bread, and light floral hops.
Tastes like baker's chocolate, freshly baked bread, caramel, hazelnut coffee, and the faintest idea of hops. Roasty and sweet, but very well-balanced.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy, smooth, and dry on the finish.
This is a great and highly drinkable version of a style that normally gets overloaded with adjuncts. This is just a straightforward beer and I love it. I hope MBC makes more because they quietly have a knack for making great dark ales.
