Genova 25/7 2024. 33 cl bottle from Conti, Via Banchi, Genova. Off-white label with a hop plant in green and the name of the beer in matching green letters.
Pours opaque murky golden yellow with a big white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer completely. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor with a distinct yeasty touch. Citric notes. Sweet pale malts, Marzipan, oranges and sugar. Grapefruit and sourish grains. Whiff of boozy fumes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Maltus Fabers excellent Tripel with a fine extra hoppy touch providing a better balance.
