Brewery calls this an Amber Ale made with fresh ginger, blood oranges, and Asian spices. It was a darker ale with nice amber highlights when it caught light in the glass. Had on tap at the Cultured Pearl in Rehoboth Beach. Collaboration beer to support Freeman Foundation.
Poured a nice glass with full head that held up to several sips. Overall very attractive beer. Despite the complex recipe it was fairly faint in the nose. Noticeable hints of citrus and spice, but not much ginger. Flavors came out much better in the taste. Very nice balance of flavors. It would probably be a good beer on its own, but it was very good matched with the Asian food at the Pearl. Was great with the pork/shrimp spring rolls as well as the tuna sashimi. Enhanced not competed with the dipping sauces. Nice choice to serve at this restaurant. Mouth feel was pleasantly medium light. Refreshing but also had enough body to be a satisfying sipper.
