I like this beer a bit better than most of the other reviewers seem to. I think that it's pretty good for what it is, and exactly as advertised- a raspberry infused chocolate imperial stout. I don't think the raspberries taste artificial in the slightest- just like pure, juicy, ripe fruit. You definitely do get a fair bit more raspberry than chocolate, but there is a fairly prominent taste of cocoa and dark chocolate. Overall it gives me the impression of a fairly sweet raspberry filled Lindt (or even Cadbury) bar. In other words, sweet, simple, and tastes pretty good going down, but you feel vaguely guilty later about what you just consumed.

Poured from the 22oz bottle in to two Crown and Rose nonics with a friend this beer has quite a yeast cake that falls apart easily swirling around my glass in large pieces. Dark brown/black and a thin layer of tan foam. Lace is scant.
Smells of tart raspberries, brown sugar, and dark bread crust.
Flavor follows the nose with emphasis on the raspberries. Kind of a sweet smokey choco raspberry thing here. I like it. Slightly tart.
Feels a bit thin, but doesn't ruin the experience.
Overall decent beer. Love the raspberry infusion. More chocolate and body would knock it out of the park.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Pours black with a nice khaki head. Settles to a thick collar.
Smell - A ton of raspberries. Some chocolate behind it.
Taste - Cold, it's all raspberry. As it warms, more chocolate comes through. Still lots of raspberry. Sustained throughout. Bitter chocolate. Raspberry in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium body. Raspberry is a little powerful. A bit artificial.
Overall - A ton of raspberries. Overpowers the stout.

Pours black with a pinky of mocha colored head. Average lacing & okay head retention
S: Raspberry & not much else
T: Follows the nose, some chocolate notes & just a touch of woody hops up front. Slightly sour raspberries as this warms, faint fig notes & bit of bitter chocolate, plus just a little dark chocolate mixed with super-faint mint. Finishes dry with nice raspberry twang, dark chocolate & a kiss of dark fruit (cherries & figs). Finished strong, almost pulled a 3.75
MF: Medium bodied, slick, moderate carbonation, thins out a touch as this warms, but does have nice warming sensation
ABV is well hidden, fairly easy to drink, not the best RIS out there, but easily the best thing I've ever had from these guys. The raspberries save the day here with out a doubt. My wife would love this will get some more for her if I see it...

22oz bottle served in a snifter.
A - Pitch black body, 2 fingers of frothy mocha head with nice retention and lots of lacing.
S - Licorice, artificial cherry/raspberry syrup, roasted malts, cocoa powder, toasted bread crust, caramel, earthy grassy hops.
T - Cherry and raspberry fruit bring a sweet but tart tangyness. A cherry cola like sweetness. The malt provides a mild earthy roast, caramel, toasted bread crust, with bakers chocolate growing heavier towards the finish. Some grassy hops are the mix as well. Finishes roasty and tart with a cocoa powder aftertaste.
M - Medium chewy body with adequate carbonation.
Not sure what to think about this one. I find myself liking the fruity tartness and then disliking it on the next sip as it somewhat reminds me of cherry cough syrup. I wish the base beer was a little bolder to support the raspberries better.
