A brewpub and restaurant tucked into the back of a long building in a college town. Ski season weekends find it packed these days. I've had better luck during the day getting a seat right away, but since there isn't a comparable experience for many miles, the wait is worth it. The bartenders and servers stay on their toes even when they "get in the weeds" so I give them high marks.
I've never eaten in the dining room proper, preferring the outdoor deck and the bar/game room area. There's air hockey, pool, several TV's and plenty of Trivial Pursuit card boxes around for the long-term slackers.
The beer is good when it is, which is to say that I have had some spoiled brew there (this is risky secondary-fermentation live stuff made with a four-barrel system,) but it is not the rule. Stoker IPA and Blackstrap Porter are my favorites. I have drunk their cream ale on occassion, too, since the style is not available very many places. It's one of my favorite lighter ales in the state.
I realllllly like the appetizer choices. There are delicious duck tenders and mini spring rolls, to go along with more standard choices. The nachos are recommended, too, for folks who like food done with a little imagination and flair. Some of my favorite dining north of Augusta.
