L- Pale amber, clear as a bell. Pours with a pure white head of a few MM that holds well, eventually going to lacing.
S- Very subtle to me, all I get is some mild grassiness.
T- The front edge is immediately quite hoppy/dry, and the flavours including a mild spicy edge and some richness rapidly develop afterwards.
F- Refreshing, quite dry, nothing stands out out of place or balance.
O- Very pleasant for a 4.0%, could make for a session beer, would buy again if I could get it locally. Bought from Waitrose in Windsor, at £1.99/500ml bottle. BBE: May 2019. Unusually it also has a date for 'Hops Harvested: September 21st 2016'.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of June 2018. Acquired a little while back from Waitrose. The label mentions that this ale is brewed with the rare Farnham White Bine hop variety and describes it as a golden bitter with earthy, peppery notes.

A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A golden-amber colour with faint floating sediment and good carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before subsiding to a patchy surface layer. Some lacing.

S: Aroma of leafy hops with hints of grass/hay, subtle herbs, mild pepper, grainy malt, ale yeast and faint earthiness. Decent.

T: Tastes of understated leafy hops with notes of grass/hay, herbs, mild spice, grainy malt, ale yeast, a vague earthiness and stewed hops. Pretty dry, with a subtle bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body. Slightly astringent. Aftertaste of bitter leafy hops, grass/hay, grainy malt, ale yeast and stewed hops.

O: Pretty good, though doesn't blow your socks off. Looks the part, while the aroma and flavour are a pleasing blend of English hops, light malt and ale yeast. Nice body. Comes across as traditional but a bit lacking in depth. Almost certainly one of those beers that would be better on cask and freshly brewed. Worth trying.
