Facing East is our first run at the "NE style" IPAs. Though JFK faced west to represent the new frontier, the east end represents our home and our new beers. Hopped and dry hopped with Kohatu and Citra, Facing East pours a bright hazy orange loaded with tons of citrus and tropical fruits.

This hazy New England IPA is an orange straw color with a white head. The typical fruit notes are present on the nose and taste. It's a solid NE IPA with a pleasant mouthfeel.

This was quite possibly the worst offering from Greenport Harbor that I have yet tried. Love the Otherside IPA, but this was stinky, tasted like sewage. One can consumed and couldn't drink any more. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I disliked this immensely. They indicate citrus and tropical fruit notes, but all I got was sour. Perhaps it's the hop pairings. As a homebrewer, I would never mix Citra with Amarillo. Amarillo gives that Lagunitas type flavor, while Citra tends to impart tangerine notes. They don't go well together.

-a NEIPA, the can pour is very pale with a thin foam ring that dissipates quickly.
The aroma is significant with citrus and tropical fruit notes.
The flavors match the nose with orange and pineapple most prominent.
The hop bitterness is moderate and the finish is pleasantly prickly due to carbonation. -very good
