Poured from a TORP into a plastic cup.
4/3/3.75/4.25/4
Clear copper with thick head.
Smells vaguely metallic and hoppy-soapy, but not unpleasant.
Crisp, malty, lightly carbonated, almost bready. The endtaste is lightly and nicely sulfuric with a bit of a tang that bites. A really jolly Vienna lager that will refresh and invigorate and pair great with fries.

Draft pint Greenport harbor Tidal Lager served in plastic at Peconic, NY, brew-pub in late october, 2017. Gene Casey and his band were performing rock-a-billy oldies.
The Tidal Lager, as well as my wife's Black Duck Porter, were slightly under-carbonated. The beer was somewhat pale for a traditional Vienna style beer, but maybe just right for a modern beer from Vienna. The flavor was well balanced, without much of the expected roasted malt character. The overall impression is of a pretty good lager of indistinct style.
I bought a six pack of bottles of Tidal Lager in September, 2018. Poured at refrigerator temperature into a glass. Color is amber, head is slightly creamy, but not long lasting. My current impression is that the beer has the general character of a good American Style beer of the mid-1970's, maybe like Huber Premium Beer or Pabst Blue Ribbon that I drank in those days. Hops are noticeably bitter and aftertaste is slightly sweet. Also similar to a modern Maerzen, as both styles have shifted lighter over the last 40 years. Overall rating is not changed.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellowish amber in color and has some fine particulates floating in suspension along with a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted malts and present in the nose along with some hints of cracker malts.
T: The taste is nearly a mirror image of the smell and has flavors of toasted malts along with a bit of cracker hops. Although no bitterness is perceptible, there are enough underlying hops to mask any sweetness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is dryness in the finish.
O: This beer isn't that difficult to drink despite it being very malty.

Hazy amber yellow with good roam that hung on well. Nose is breaddy with a soft sweetness on top. No real hops to the nose except that these are fresh so they stand out. herbal grasses and floral. Drinks well until the hops finish it a little too bitter. Malt is breaddy and hearty. Clean bitterness. Bubbles that just bite. No fruity flavors, no off scents.

Pours orange gold. Thick, medium, off white head that lasts a while with light lacing.
Smells malt, yeast, hint of pine and fruit.
Tastes bready and pale malt to start, fading to a surprising amount of bitterness and light yeast. Finish is dry with a lingering bitter. Lighter body and smooth lower medium carbonation

Pours an amber color with a nice golden hew. Major clarity with lots of carbonation with a frothy white head. On the nose I get malt and yeast. A crisp hit of malt upfront on the first sip with a very smooth flow and the subtle hint of bitter hops and yeasty breads on the finish. Nice flavor notes of pale malt, toasted bread, cracker, honey, caramel, nuts, and malt sweetness come on the more I consume. The mouth feel is on the light side but the flavors hold up nicely. Despite the rather refreshing and easy drinking feel the flavors linger on the palate well after each sip.
Overall, a pretty nice easy drinker for warm days.

On tap at Blu Wolf Bistro in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light amber color, with a small head and a good amount of lacing.
Smells like fruity lager yeast and light maltiness.
The yeast character kind of dominates here, there's a nice fruitiness but none of the malt richness and roastiness I expect from a good Vienna. There's a slight hop bite on the finish.
This is light bodied, and fairly crisp, with a good level of carbonation.
This is certainly drinkable but doesn't impress a whole lot.
