On tap at the Lark in East Northport, NY, pours cloudy yellow piss color with a 1-2 finger white head that faded slowly and left good spotty lacing. So cloudy it looked like a New England DIPA.
Looks like a glass of grapefruit juice and smells like it too, with zesty grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, light peppery spices, orange peel, toasted grains, coriander, piney hops, spruce and floral hops. Nice and spicy with a huge citrus nose.
Tastes of strong citrus hop zest, red grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, fresh piney hops, spices including pepper, coriander and allspice, flowers, floral hops, biscuit, wheat bread, butter and toasted grains. The bitterness may be a bit much for anyone looking for a mellow session IPA, so be warned that this brew is very bitter and make no apologies for it. The ongoing impression of grapefruit juice continues with the mouthfeel and bitterness, making this a different kind of session IPA - and by different I mean good.

took a day trip out to the north fork for some wine and after hitting up the first Greenport location, decided to trek put to the OG spot.
fairly full bodied and full flavored session ipa, but heavy handed malt backbone makes it feel like a straight up pale ale to me. nice, but nothing too crazy.

On tap at Greenport Harbor taproom, sitting on a leather stool listening to the bartender's lightly blasting Pavement. Served in a tulip.
Appearance: Opaque yellow telling of being unfiltered and welcomely no crystal malt. No lacing really.
Smell: Extremely inviting citrus with a sweet backend. Not really dank but very bright and fresh.
Taste: Very straightforward, slightly earthy lemon/orange citrus flavor with hop pungent aftertaste. Very bitter and dry; much more in your face than you expect from a "session IPA" which in my opinion is a virtue. No malt flavor to speak of but great hop profile.
Mouthfeel: light side of medium bodied. Excellent carbonation and dryness. What you want from a session IPA.
Overall: Refreshing afternoon hop burst. Just what you want from a beer like this, with a great choice of hops. Would love if they distributed this to Manhattan, would be an awesome happy hour beer in the Summer.
