Collaboration with Sand City Brewing Company.
Double IPA dry hopped twice with Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic. Huge juicy tropical notes, with hits of mango, fruit punch, gummy bears, and honey.

16oz tallboy can courtesy of beerloserLI. Can was badly dented on one side but did not leak it's contents. According to the stamp on the bottom, it was canned on March 21, 2018. Apparently it was brewed in collaboration with another NY brewery, Sand City.
Poured into a shaker pint glass, this was a turbid, lemony shade of amber. Decent sized off white head, decent amount of lace.
Tropical fruity hoppiness, yes, like many a NE hazy IPA, but with a near equal amount of grapefruity bitter aroma also present. I happen to enjoy it when that happens.
Not disappointed by the taste after the smell at all. If anything, it's more full and complex. I like hazy IPAs as much as the next guy, but being a PNW hop head of fairly long standing, I love that there's some honest to god hop bitterness as well, in about equal amplitude. The bitterness does not overpower the mango-like tropical fruit flavors, just adds some gravitas to the proceedings. The finish, while still soft when compared to an old school IPA, is very pleasingly dry when compared to a lot of hazies.
Medium bodied, with a mouthfeel that is soft compared to an old school IPA but not the the point of insipidness, like some.
I think this might be the perfect amount of hazy, fruit forward hoppiness for me without taking too much character from the traditional IPA style. I could drink this all day, and at 8.5% I'd probably end up quite hammered. If this is available and sounds like your cup of tea, GET IT! Sadly it appears to be a one-off, so I'm very grateful to have had one. Thanks, Brian!

Pours cloudy orange/gold/brown color with a thick 2+ finger thick foamy off white head that looked like a pillow-y cloud hat dissipated very slowly and left really nice foamy spider web lacing.
Smells of orange peel, tangerine, graham crackers, biscuit, soft floral notes, faint grapefruit, lemon zest, rose pedals and light peppery spices round out the very basic but well balanced double dry hopped nose.
Tastes like it smells but with orange juice, hints of pineapple, guava, caramel, sweet malt or toasted grains and tea leaf in addition to the citrus lineup from the aroma (orange peel, tangerine, faint grapefruit and lemon zest). The malt backbone is present and balancing again with the graham crackers, biscuit and toasted grains adding sweetness, along with the evident dry hop accents of rose pedals, coriander and light peppery spices.
A nice smooth feel, this had excellent drinkability and was just a notch below the other Greenport Harbor and Sand City collaboration, Strictly 80’s Joel. Overall a fine brew which I hope they revisit again.
