Reviewed from a 3/28/19 canning date and the re-branded version.
A murky and pale orange color, on the pour, with a fluffy white head of bubbles. Hops and citrus on the nose but not overly strong smelling. The hops hit upfront, on the initial sips, but overall it drinks pretty mellow. A smooth and semi-creamy flow that finishes with very minimal bitter. Nice and subtle hop fruit notes of orange, lemon, lime, peach, and grapefruit. A light/moderate mouth feel that offers lots of drinkability and balance.
Overall, decent and easy drinking for the style. I would prefer the hops popped a bit more.

This has all the requisite boxes checked for an IPA that sits somewhere around the NE-style IPA, with the cloudy appearance, the sledgehammer citrus aromas (mango, pineapple, grapefruit), and the mouthfeel that's just a smidge watery. Seen it, drank it a bunch the last couple of years.
Where this beer veers in a direction that is decidedly NOT in the NE-style IPA is on the taste, which has the aforementioned mango, pineapple, and grapefruit flavors, but adds in the utterly delicious and unexpected sweetness from what I perceive as caramalt. Wow, did I NOT see that coming (in my best Chandler Bing voice). What a wonderful surprise, and a delight to drink.

Canned 04/25/18, it pours cloudy yellow gold color like pineapple juice with a 2 finger foamy white head that was packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving decent spotty lacing.
Smells of lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, biscuit, piney hops, light peppery spices, a soft citrus-y sweetness like dry hops and earthy notes. A nice level of balance and a potent citrus aroma make this lovely to inhale.
Tastes of grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, orange peel, melon, biscuit, piney hops, light peppery spices, coriander, lightly roasted grains, faint caramel, tropical fruit and leafy accents. It's mostly a regular IPA but it does seem dry hopped as the earthy notes and floral hops come out more as it fades. The can say this is a blend of Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic hops; that basically sums up the tastes.
Mouthfeel is smooth and light feeling with a sharp bitterness, mild carbonation and lots of citrus flavors that mostly resemble lemon and grapefruit. Pretty easy to drink since it hides the 7% ABV quite well.
