Second entry in the Local to Locals movement here on LI, wherein local independent breweries are producing beers expressly for distribution to local independently-owned beer stores... The first beer in the series was Barrier's New England Style Double IPA...
Pale-medium gold and pretty darn close to clear, but with all the opacity trending these days, its way closer to clear than most "hazy" beers; plenty of streaming bubbles rising through the body of the beer are easy enough to spot, too... Into a pokal/pilsener-type glass, produced three fluffy fingers of foam that slimmed down to a fluffy cap, lasting all the way to the finish...
I'm digging this, as there is a pretty clear IPA hop-approach to this lager - lots of soft citrus, but not too sweet, moderately bitter, complemented by the hearty grains you'd expect in a malt-forward lager... Floral and crackery impressions bridge the IPA and lager gap, and this beer is a pretty good take on the "IPL style" - the feel is super smooth and graceful, light and airy - solid drinkability...
Bottom of the can says, "It Happened Again" - 5/22/18 canning...
