Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can purchased today at the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company in Greenport, NY; canned 05/31/19, code HIP HOP YOU DON'T STOP.
A: Pours a hazy, rose color (looking a lot like pink grapefruit juice) with a one finger, very light pink, foamy head, rim retention, and spotty, limited lacing.
S: Aromas initially very floral (especially rose) and fruity (especially berry). Turns tangier, funkier and more cracker over time.
T: Tart, semidry, some lactate. Flavors definitely derived from various berries, especially raspberry and cranberry, as well as white grapefruit juice. Bitterness very much overbalances the sweetness at the end, leaving the impression of pepper, cumin, or strawberry pips.
M: Medium bodied and moderate carbonation.
O: A very drinkable American Wild. My personal taste leans more to one with much less bitterness at any point, but clearly well made.
