It's pie time again with Chocolate-Covered Cherry Pie. A rich pastry-style stout brewed with loads of sweet and tart cherries, cocoa nibs, and a massive dose of whole Madagascar vanilla beans. Layers of dark crystal malts and milk sugar provide a foundation for this fun and dangerously drinkable offering.

Pours a black color with a huge chocolate milk colored head. Great retention. Big and fluffy.
The aroma is of sour cherries and cocoa nibs. A hint of smoke. Lots of lactose sweetness.
The taste starts out with a tart cherry twang. This is mellowed by milk chocolate and cocoa powder. Lactose sweetness and a touch of vanilla.
The feel is moderate on the palate with very soft carbonation. Almost drinks flat or thin. Big sweet and tart going on. Some bitterness from the cocoa but not much. More sweetness from the lactose. Finishes sticky and a tad boozy.
Starts off great but fizzles towards the end. A dessert beer for sure. Needs carbonation to break up the overall sweetness or more bitter.
