had the great ipa from greenport so gave this one a try as well
poured ok did not have a good head like last time but a decent one at first
smell disapointed no hops in the nose but some strange soapy aroma? i think that might not supposed to be there it was not good also some stale bread aroma
taste was off too it was watery and bready like biscuits or even saltine crackers but no real malt sweetness maybe just some herbal hops like tea
thin bodied mouthfeel no real support there
overall an average ipa kind of a bummer and letdown but will be trying more from them for sure

A - Pours a very clear orange-amber color with a finger of fizzy white head. The head quickly fades away and leaves only minimal lacing behind.
S - Smells mostly of a sweet malt and some earthy/leafy hops. There is also a bit of a biscuity undertone and spices mixed in as well.
T - Starts off with some sweet toffee malt flavor with some piney hops mixed in. Through the middle the a bit of spice and just a touch of honey flavor come through. The finish is fairly bitter with a touch of sweetness. The balance is not quite perfect here and tastes a bit off.
M - Medium-light to medium bodied with fairly moderate carbonation. Feels a touch watery. Finish is a bit dry and feels very smooth and crisp.
D - Very drinkable. The flavors are just a bit off, but the beer as a whole feels very smooth and crisp. Even with a bit of a balance problem, there is a nice blend of hops and sweetness from the malt to kick the beer off, just wish it stayed throughout.
