Mann I was looking forward to this one and being a pastry beer. I have drinking abomination pastry stouts so this one was a let down. But those ones are over the top. I get hints of the pastry frosting flavor and then it's gone. The spices need to be turned up more or some molasses would have been nice. If you have had the rare opportunity to try Good Gourd pumpkin ale then this one is the little kid brother of that one in flavor profile. It's good but for me it could have been better with more vanilla or something. Another one that is close but not quite there.On the plus side this doesn't drink like 8.5% at all. Goes down fast! (Drinks a little better when set out from the fridge for 10 mins. Before cracking it open.) Dam good artwork on the can too!
