On draft at Tap and Barrel, Smithtown, NY.
Poured a bright amber hue with a two finger frothy white head. There was very Goid retention and lacing.
The smell featured light bready malts and a touch of herbal hop.
The taste consisted of a light grainy sweetness accented by a deep herbal finish.
The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.
Overall a very tasty user friendly Maibock.

Tried it out of a Growler from Big Z beverage.
Nice nose of crushed wheat and barely
Medium amber color, pours with a small head.
Light malt up front with a bit of a watery/bland mid-body, nice lager finish, minerality to the bitter finish. Overall a nice on-style beer that holds its 7.0% ABV well but is unremarkable.

swung by the brewery after a day at the vineyards to sample the local offerings. got about a half if a pint sample. brew was transparent golden smell was pretty tame and it was more.lager than anything else in my opinion. some sweetness that lent a hand. decent but not mind blowing.

Interestingly for a Maibock (and a lager in general), the girl working the bar at Greenport told me this beer had been brewed just 4 weeks prior to my tasting. Obviously it was very fresh but hadn't been lagered for a particularly long time.
The beer itself was clear gold, with a decent cap of white foam, average retention and lacing. Fairly unexciting aroma was mostly malty, not particularly sweet, with a faint kiss of floral hops on the back end. The flavor followed suit, somewhat one dimensional, with a somewhat generic biscuit malt taste, not particularly deep or interesting, and a little bit of bitter, flowery hops in the fairly dry finish.
Clean drinking, with a medium-light body for the style and fairly crisp carbonation. Not bad but not all that exciting either.
