On tap in at Top Hops, NYC.

A- Clean golden color with a 2-finger fluffy white head. Fat rings of lacing down the glass.

S- Citrus, pine, and earthy hop nose. Pleasant and mild. Some sweet malt.

T- Enough malt to support the hop forward flavor.

M- Nice feel with abundant carbonation. Hoppy finish.

O- Light and drinkable. Clearly not a monster IPA, that's a bonus.

After jumping through hoops, I finally have this on tap in my living room. Everything about this beer screams sessionable. It has a mild bite, but nothing that would inhibit you from sitting and polishing off several between dinner and relaxing before bed. I don't know if GHB bottles Gobsmack, but if you can find it on tap, have at least one to develop an opinion of your own.

Poured into a Greenport Harbor pint glass. Growler bought today from the brewery. I've had this beer before at Dark Horse in Riverhead, and I liked it then. I like it now. Appearance: golden/amber with a foamy white head, which dissipated quickly and left not much in the way of lacing. Smell of pine and citrus. Not particularly strong, but pleasant. Taste is really very good. I like the dryness at the end especially. Mouthfeel is a little light, watery even. Not much carbonation. This is a good session beer because its relatively low ABV, its excellent quality, and its wonderful bite.

On tap at the Blind Tiger in NYC.

Pours golden amber with white head. Head lingers pretty well in pint. Good lacing along sides of pint.

Smell is malty with mild citrus hops.

Taste is malt forward for me. Caramel comes through. Musty citrus comes in later with mild bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation.

Overall this is a good example of the style but a little malt forward for my taste.

On draft at Croxley's, Smithtown, NY.

Poured a light brass hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retrntion and lacing.

The smell featured a clean citrus hop and soft doughiness.

The taste consisted of a simple, fresh upfront leafy hop, some earthiness and a clean round doughy malt.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a fresh tasting vibrant IPA. Very enjoyable.
