On tap at Eight Bells Inn. Nice to have a variation from the standard English bitter ale. Lower alcohol but creamy and solid flavor.

Hand drawn pint at JDW.
Dark brown (almost black) with a lasting creamy white head. Lacing present.
Smells of charred bread with hints of chocolate malt.
Initial sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Distant coffee.
Smooth with reasonable depth.
Advertised as a winter warmer but similar to a porter.
