Bottled Oct. 2015. Pours a very deep, dark red, clear, with a bit of light brown foam. Smells malty, oaky, bit of red wine. Some sharp carbonation at first, but quite smooth after that. Taste is rich, pretty bitter, some oaky acidity. Fun style example!

From a 330ml bottle. Bottled Oct 2015, drunk Nov 2016.
L: Cloudy. Not so much a red hue as very dark brown. Even when held to the light it's dark brown. Thin smear of a head. No lacing. Some carbonation visible.
S: Dark treacle. Alcohol.
T: Dark, sweet, malty. Treacle & liquorice. Fruit pudding.
F: Full body. Rich, smooth, coating. Light carbonation. Medium dry finish. Boozy.
O: Easy to drink barley wine. Sipper. Flavour and mouthfeel build over time. Becomes more complex and more dense as the beer warms and breathes.
