Black IPA
L - pours dark with a smallish head turns to a lasting film and leaves moderate lacing. Dark dark brown with a reddish hue when held to the light.
S - Smells of pine sap right off the bat then later on you get a good amount of citrus, mostly orange, and then spicy notes and burnt sugars
Taste - Bitter right up front with a bit of charcoal, juicy burst of citrus and hops in the middle then a bitter burnt sugar and piny end, clean not sticky (a negative IMHO).
M - Very smooth carbonation is perfect and the body is a light medium that makes it a great quaffing beer.
Overall a very decent beer, I have had plenty of the style with a bit more to offer but this represented well. Probably will try it again but with better ones so close I won't go out of my way.
